When is the taxi in which you travel, uninsured?

So, you book a taxi and it turns up at your door. What's your next move? All taxis, by law, must display council approved badges (plates) on both the front and rear of the vehicle. That applies to all taxis whether it is a ford focus or a larger, more expensive car such as a Merc or Jag.

If you allow the driver or company to remove the plates for or during your trip and should the said taxi be involved in an accident or (this won't get too long) should you injure yourself while in the taxi or getting in or out of the taxi, or be struck by the taxi, you haven't got a hope in hell of claiming any form of compensation other than taking legal action against the said company, if it isn't too late, should you survive!

In short, neither you nor your taxi nor its driver will, under the afore mentioned circumstances, be covered by the correct insurance, nor any insurance!

Deluxe Private Hire, on the other hand, operates with Jaguar cars and they are clearly plated both front and rear - no matter how ugly that might be.
